In Dolgeville, Harold "Hal"
Schumacher died at age 82. He was an all-star
pitcher with the New York Giants in the
1930s.
Nicknamed "Prince Hal"
-- his teammate was Hall of Fame pitcher
"King Carl" Hubbell -- Schumacher
compiled a 13-year record of 158-121 and
pitched in three World Series. His lifetime
earned runned average was 3.36.
