Joseph Kiefer
was born on July 19, 1899 in West Leyden,
NY. He had his major league debut as a
pitcher during the 1920 American League
Season.
The first game
he ever played was on Oct. 10, 1920 at
the age of 21.
He started
his career with the Chicago White Sox
and ended his career with the Boston Red
Sox.
Kiefer played
three seasons: 1920 with the White Sox
and 1925 and 1926 with the Red Sox, before
playing his last game on May 25, 1926.
Kiefer died
July 5, 1975 in Utica, NY.
