Quick BIO

moe. is comprised of Al Schnier on guitar and vocals, Rob Derhak on bass and vocals, Chuck Garvey on guitar and vocals, Vinnie Amico on drums and Jim Loughlin on percussion and acoustic guitar.

The band formed in Buffalo 13 years ago. Back then the band's name was "5 Guys Named Moe" and contained a sax player as well.

Although the band didn't form in Utica, four of its members are from the Mohawk Valley. Schnier and Garvey both graduated from New Hartford High School. Derhak graduated from Whitesboro, and Amico lived in the area until he was 10.

Since then, the band has turned out many recordings including: Fatboy, Headseed, Loaf, No Doy, Tin Cans and Car Tires, L and Dither. They also have a holiday album and a three-disc unedited recording from one of their concerts.

Each album was produced by Fatboy Records, moe.'s own indie label, except for the original version of Fatboy, which was released as an independent demo in 1992, but was re-released under Fatboy Records in 1999.
