Memorial Messages
Godspeed to a class act. Bob was a great friend to many throughout the region. He thoughtfully came to the wake for my father-in-law, whom he had never met, when he died four years ago running the Boilermaker. I think Bob would be glad he was able to give so much of the last years of his life to the Race and City he loved so much.

MY sister was a friend of Bob and his first wife for many years, she passed in 1990. I got to meet them a few times and he was an incredible man of strength and spirit and a lot of determination to change things for for the good. He will be greatly missed by many but he will be remembered as a special man to look up to! I send my prayers out to the family...may they have the strength and guidance they need right now. The area has lost a great man. Bob was an inspiration to everyone he met. Peace be with you.

Little did we know in June 2007 how sick you were when we saw you and mentioned our son had not yet registered for the Race! You said "it should go through but if not - call me I'll get him in"! That's the kind of caring person you were! I was so thrilled to see you at the Start last year and I ran with tears. A shame you are gone but you are in a better place now!! We should learn from you!

to ingalls family,i have known bob since he was a young kid,and i was saddened to hear he passed away as we had some good times working as deputy sheriffs in the 60's when his father was undersheriff, bob had a lot of compassion when we answered calls together and times of tragedies we both leaned on eachother, when i moved to melbourne fla. in 1972 i got employment with melb pd and alot of things were the same here as it was at home, but things bob and i worked out together helped me alot in my law enforcement career,i still at this date work as secuirity at kaiser university,i will always remember bob and the good times,i remember the time we bought an old school bus and parked it at hinkley lake for our families to camp. at 80 years old, i still think bob as one of my best friends that god has taken home.
