When carrying the ball for that world class sports event as director, you also carried something else well..yourself, and did it in a humble manner which put others in the limelight for their deserved slice of public acclaim, never standing in the forefront...never diverting the attention to yourself. Now, Bob, it's our time to turn the attention and our prayers to you as you head for the eternal light and warmth of the Heavenly Father. Godspeed,Robert

I have known Bob as a fellow republican Committee Man and through running the Boilermaker Race and his help when I got the start line named after Earl Reed. Bob was one of those people no matter how bad your day was if you came in contact with bob everything seamed to turn around I will miss his smile and advice Rest in Peace Bob you have earned it for all the joy you have passed on to others

All of us at Alton Road Runners Club (Alton,Il) have fond memories of "Sheriff Bob" and the great times we had at the RRCA conventions. We were all sort of "unconventional" at the conventions, but we had a lot of laughs together.
