Utica jazz site comes down
In last week's Fusion, I gave you a list of some of my favorite music/arts Web sites. One of those sites was Uticajazz.com. I love this site, not only because I love jazz, but because someone's taking the reins to put local musicians out there - Corey Colmey actually is that someone. (He took over the site last summer from founder Jeremy Yaddaw.) But, an e-mail I just received from Colmey suggests he'll no longer be able to maintain the site.
"Present circumstances don't allow me the time or resources to continue the site," he said in the e-mail.
I'm super disappointed and hope someone might be able to take the reins from Colmey who did such a nice job creating a professional, user-friendly and informative site for local jazz musicians, which account for some of our community's greatest assets.
