NHL Playoffs second to none

I'm not the biggest NHL fan out there. At least not in the regular season.

Too many games, not enough meaning.

But come playoff time, I can't get enough. There just isn't another sport that can match the excitement and intensity level that the NHL Playoffs offer.
Sunday's two overtime games best represent what NHL hockey is all about.

The Penguins advanced with a thrilling 3-2 OT win to eliminate the New York Rangers. Then the Dallas Stars needed FOUR OVERTIMES to oust San Jose 2-1.

Not enough scoring for some. But the intensity is unmatched, with players giving everything they had on every critical shift.

The Stars' win featured some of the greatest saves that I've ever seen and edge-of-your-seat action for five hours.

What other sport can match that?

Bring on the conference finals.
