Bonds market still down in baseball
The Major League Baseball players’ association is investigating the possibility that all 30 big league clubs have colluded to keep Barry Bonds on the sidelines this year.
If “collusion” means all 30 teams realize that Bonds is a clubhouse cancer who is facing big-time legal issues, then the MLBPA is correct. But for the union to suggest that there is anything more to Bonds’ forced retirement is absurd.
Bonds played by his own rules for the last decade, and now he’s paying the price. If any team is crazy enough to sign him, that general manager should be investigated for conduct detrimental to baseball.

Muder... why do you still have a job? Really? This is what you get paid to do?
Not a Bonds fan, but like him more than Clemens. Still think Bonds could help some teams if they signed him to an incentive laden contract and took away all of the former perks that he used to have. Many players used PEDs, so it is unfair to pin it all on Bonds. In fact, the players love Binds because he was their fall guy for so many years.
I still think a team looking for a bat might give him a shot. Can he play first base, because the guy the Mets are using may be done.
Wow, Muder, do you write these things on your way into work? Johnny made a more insightful comment than you did.
Let's start a poll.
What's your favorite Muder Moment? No one can write 5 ill-conceived, inaccurate, pointless sentences quite like our man Craig. Your choices:
A) When he wrote about being glad that the NFL Network was getting rid of GREG Gumbel, when any casual sports fan knows its Bryant.
B) When he argued that being investigated for spying was a good thing for the Pats.
C) When he tried to make a big deal out of junior college women's lax.
D) When he mentioned Syracuse and Colgate as Mohawk Valley successes (when neither is in the Mohawk Valley).
E) Pick one of your own. These were just a few of my favorites over the last couple weeks, but there's lots more if you want to go further back.
If you have some free time, check out the links on the right. There are some good laughs in there.
Mike get off your high horse, if your the supposed Mohawk Valley expert, get off the blogs and get a job writing or in the least create a website where we can read all your negative news, and by the way mistakes are made(even in the newspaper)im sure you have made your fair share...oh wait I forgot you must be perfect
....ladies and gentlemen, a big hand for Craig's mom!
Sorry if I thought it might be nice to read a paper with a sports editor who actually knew something about sports.
Bonds last year was still one of the best players (top five in OPS) in all of Baseball. I am sure he would be hired if it were not for collusion by hypocritical owners and general managers. Come on Muder!
