Delaney: HCS No. 1 in boys soccer poll

The first boys soccer state rankings of the season are out.

And surprise, surprise, the Hamilton and Poland boys teams are both ranked in Class D. Defending state champion Hamilton (3-0-1) is No. 1. Poland (3-1) is 11th. Poland's only loss is to Hamilton, a 1-0 score, in the teams' season opener on Sept. 4.

The only other Utica area team in the rankings is Cooperstown. The Redskins are 7th in Class C.
